Founded in 2014 to mark the 100 year anniversary of the Red Cross Luxembourg, the Cents Corporate Challenge (Triple C) celebrates its second iteration this year, working closely with a growing number of companies that will compete against each other in a friendly sports competition on 7 June at the Institut National des Sports (INS) in Cents.

Building on last year’s successful edition, which raised €10,366 for the Red Cross, this year's Triple C aims to raise funds for the Social Groceries initiative (www.buttek.lu), which supports vulnerable people in Luxembourg. This service offers people and families on income support to buy their household necessities (food and household products) at up to 75% discount from the retail price. Six of these shops already exist in the country, with a 7th soon to be opened to support the Steinfort area.

With the generous support of €10,000 from Nordea Bank Luxembourg, the event’s main sponsor, and from Elvinger, Hoss & Prussen (advertising media), volunteers at the International Section of the Red Cross are hosting a full day of friendly competitions and team-building activities. They also encourage the participants to bring their families and friends to the Triple C, for additional support and to spread the word of this great initiative.

Featuring competitions from track-and-field, sprints, relay, egg toss, sack race to tug-of-war and 3-legged races, Triple C will be great fun but challenging for the participating adults. Aside from the competition there will be plenty for their children to do, with arts & crafts, face-painting, an obstacle course and other fun activities. There will also be food and drinks provided for all participants during the day.

To date, 7 companies have confirmed their participation in the Cents Corporate Challenge, including Nordea Bank, Deloitte, HSBC, EIB, ArcelorMittal, Elvinger, Hoss & Prussen and John Deere Bank.

Registration: €1,200 per company for a team of up to 15 participants - email: Section.Internationale@croix-rouge.lu.
