Brown Brothers Harriman (Luxembourg) SCA (BBH) has donated over 800 shower kits to Stëmm vun der Strooss, an association with which it has worked for several years to support the homeless.
On a number of occasions the 380 bank staff in Luxembourg have been actively involved in fundraising, collecting items and clothing to support the homeless and people in need.
This year, the staff met to make shower kits comprising a toothbrush, soap, shampoo and conditioner in sealed plastic bags to ensure product cleanliness and allow recipients to reuse them. Based on team building, a competition was held to see which team would pack the most number of kits over a period of 3 minutes.
Founded in 1996, Stëmm vun der Strooss works for the social and professional integration of disadvantaged people. The homeless, the unemployed, beneficiaries of guaranteed minimum income, ex-offenders, asylum seekers, migrants and people with mental disorders and/or dependent on drugs, alcohol and drugs are its clientele.
At 7 rue de la Fonderie in Hollerich, meals are available for the modest sum of 50 cents. Showers, cloakroom and laundry service are available for free from Monday to Friday from 11:30 to 16:30. It is here that their clientele will benefit from the shower kits packaged and generously offered by employees of BBH.
