LuxairGroup, as part of its responsible societal approach, has decided to support Stëmm vun der Strooss, which works for the social and professional integration of disadvantaged people. “Other services are also available to the public, but “Kleederstuff” specifically gives donated clothes to people in need. This helps men and women to improve their social circumstances when they go to job interviews or look for accommodation,” Alexandra Oxacelay, Manager at Stëmm vun der Strooss, stated.
LuxairGroup organised clothes donations for a three-week period within the company. Staff were informed about the charity’s activities and were encouraged to clear out their wardrobes whilst doing a good deed. Almost 200 kilos of clothes were donated! LuxairGroup also donated a considerable stock of brand new shirts from the company’s previous uniform.
On 30 June 2015, the donated clothes were officially handed over in LuxairGroup’s Cargocentre.
