Deloitte Luxembourg, in partnership with Stëmm vun der Strooss, Caritas and the Luxembourg Red Cross, has produced over 1,200 shoeboxes, containing necessary toiletries, to give out to the homeless of Luxembourg to help improve their day-to-day lives.

The boxes are given out periodically and, of the 1,200 that were created, 400 have already been delivered. The first 330 shoeboxes were delivered on Wednesday 27 January in Hollerich. This was followed by a guided tour of the Hollerich crentre with the Director of the Luxembourg charity Stëmm vun der Strooss, Alexandra Oxacelay. An additional 90 boxes were given out on Friday 29 January in Esch-sur-Alzette.

The third delivery of the shoeboxes will be on Wednesday 17 February, were some 80 new boxes will be handed out in Bonnevoie, Esch and Schoenfels, other locations where Stëmm vun der Strooss is active.

This is one of a series of initiatives where Stëmm vun der Strooss supports the homeless and vulnerable members of society, others include hot meals, clothing, etc.
