On Sunday 15 April 2018, a Luxembourg team lifted the 43rd Coupe de l'Amitié at the ice rink in Kockelscheuer in an international competition featuring a total of twelve teams representing competitors from twelve different countries.

In the final, the local team of Dan KELLY (skip), Claude SCHWEITZER (third), Alex BENOY (second) and Candice RICHARDS (lead), defeated Besancon 8-2 ​​(after 7 ends).

Previously the team defeated Frankfurt (9-3), Erfurt (7-3) and the Curly Beavers from Canada and the USA (9-5).

The other Luxembourg team (Karen Wauters, Daniel Eger, Kirsten Westenfelder and Volker Beba) with 2 newcomers also fought bravely and finished in 8th place in the final ranking ahead of the Swiss and three German teams.
