On Sunday evening in Oestersund, Sweden, during the World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship 2018, Luxembourg defeated The Netherlands 9-0.

This positive result came after two defeats, against - the favourites - USA (14-2) and Latvia (13-0).

This win keeps Luxembourg's chances alive to qualify for the playoffs (the top 24 out of 40 teams) after the seven matches round robin format. Luxembourg must then finish no lower than 5th out of 8.

Today, Luxembourg face Switzerland, another one of the main favourites for the world championship.
