On Wednesday 3 February 2016, the TROIS C-L will be teaming up with Handicap International, Mierscher Kulturhaur and Tufa Tanz e.V. to hold an event linking dance and disability at Banannefabrik.

'En dansant, le regard crée le cadre' will offer an eclectic artistic programme, beginning with Swiss choreographer Nicole Seiler. Nicole works on multimedia research combining dance and video, with a recent focus on the relationship between image and sound. In the dance video Amauros, she introduces the method of audio description, to make visual works accessible to the blind or visually-impaired through text and voice.

The blanContact project of the Mierscher Kulturhaus and the Fondation Kräizbierg will be showcased. Choreographers Annick Pütz and Thierry Raymond have set a scene in which professional artists mix with amateur dancers, some of which have a physical disability. The evening will also offer a preview of the signed photo exhibition of Jeanine Unsen and a film produced by Nikos Welter, both of which are dedicated to the subject.

Handicap International Luxembourg will also be present to display its latest exhibition 'Restes de Guerres' ('War Remnants'), created as part of the Centenary of the First World War and the 70th anniversary of the end of WWII. It will be preceded by a performance choreographed by Bernard Baumgarten, and a documentary exploring the story of a little girl named Reema who met HI's teams in Nepal will also be screened.

The public will also have the chance to discover 'Neuf heures moins sept' ('Seven Minutes to Nine'), a short film by artist Philippe Veyrunes which was created in workshops conducted by choreographer François Veyrunes as part of a joint project with a medico-educational institute welcoming autistic teenagers.

To close the evening, BewegGrund Trier will present excerpts from its repertoire. Directed by Maja Hehlen, their artistic approach is based on 'DanceAbility', a movement and dance method offering participants the opportunity to explore their own language of movement and develop relationships with others, whether as a group or with individual partners.

The evening will begin at 19:00 at Banannefabrik. Prior reservation is not necessary. For further information, visit www.danse.lu or contact danse@danse.lu or +352 40 45 69.
