On 19 and 20 November 2015, the Grand Duchy will receive several senior government figures from the Republic of Tatarstan, as a means of strengthening the bilateral economic relations between the two regions.

President of the Republic Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, will visit Luxembourg tomorrow, accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Information and Communication, Roman Shaykhutdinov, and Minister of the Economy, Artyom Zdunov.

Comprised of nearly 4 million inhabitants, Tatarstan is an autonomous republic which forms part of the Russian Federation. With a large oil industry, nascent ICT sector and automotive industry, Tatarstan represents one of the most dynamic, prosperous and promising regions of Russia.

The President of Tatarstan will be received in Luxembourg by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of the Economy, Étienne Schneider, for talks focused on strengthening economic ties between the two.

On 20 November 2015, Rustam Minnikhanov will be received in audience by HRH the Grand Duke at the Grand Ducal Palace. The President will also have the opportunity to meet with the President of the Chamber of Deputies, Mars Di Bartolomeo.
