On Wednesday 18 November 2015, Minister of Labour, Employment and the Social and Solidarity Economy, Nicolas Schmit, met with President of the Confederation of German Trade Unions (DGB), Reiner Hoffmann, to discuss the challenges in employment and social policy which the European Union is facing.
"If we want to ensure the support of citizens and trade unions in the European project, it is imperative to strengthen the social dimension of the European Union," commented Minister Nicolas Schmit. "The concept of the triple AAA must become a social reality on the ground, not just in speeches".
