On 15 February 2019, four Luxembourg students received scholarships from the Auguste van Werveke-Hanno Foundation for higher studies in architecture and fine arts.

The Auguste van Werveke-Hanno Foundation was founded in 2002 under the will of the late Anita van Werveke and in memory of her father, Auguste van Werveke-Hanno, and his lifetime profession of drawing (1896-1920) at the École d'artisans de l’État (currently Lycée technique des arts et métiers)

The scholarships are awarded to young people from Luxembourg who are pursuing higher studies in architecture or the fine arts: free arts, advertising/multimedia, interior design/decoration or design. The selection is made on the basis of applications and scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic merit, advancement of studies and personal productions.

Since 2003, a total of €212,000 have been awarded to fifty-two students. For the current academic year, four new scholarships each worth €5,000 have been awarded to Julien Rippinger, a PhD student in architecture, Aline Ney, a master's student in architecture, Charlotte Payet, a Bachelor of Fine Arts student, and Leïla Marchal, a Bachelor of Arts in Illustrations Design student.

The administrators of the Auguste van Werveke-Hanno Foundation have welcomed the dedication of the young laureates who have shown great initiative and creativity in their academic career.
