Remich has just been added to the list of municipalities — including Bous, Dalheim, Lenningen, Schengen, Stadtbredimus and Waldbredimus — that offer information and advisory services for questions on energy efficiency, renewable energy, renovation and sustainable construction.
The service has been established thanks to a collaboration with myenergy, the national structure for the promotion of the transition towards sustainable energy.
Individuals can schedule appointments for a free consultation via the hotline: 8002 11 90.
The basic energy advice sessions can be held in Mondorf-les-Bains, Remich or the applicants' homes. Exceptionally, urgent appointments can be made at myenergy offices in Luxembourg-Gare.
"Citizens not only receive information on energy issues, but also on central themes, such as energy and sustainable renovation, sustainable construction and renewable energies," said Benoit Hocq, myenergy project manager infopoints.
Other subjects the service deals with include daily energy saving, technical installations, energy passport, life in an AA home (high energy performance), building materials and methods, laws and regulations, energy cooperatives for photovoltaic installations and, finally, financial aid available for construction or renovation projects.
With regard to the last point, it is worth noting the importance of the Climate Bank and Sustainable Housing Premium Regulations, which came into force on 1 January 2017.
Specific regulations for municipalities, such as municipal subsidies in the different entities of the canton of Remich are also an integral part of myenergy's consulting service. There is also a set of services specifically designed for communal employees. They include checklists to facilitate control over construction sites which can be used in addition to the measures put in place by the municipalities.
Myenergy now has more than 21 myenergy infopoint offices, supported by 102 communes in total.
The Remich offices can be found at: Annex Cristal Mondorf, 20 Route de Luxembourg, L-5634 Mondorf-les -Bains, and at Mairie Place de Resistance, L-5501 Remich.
