The non-profit organisation Fingertips is organising “Festreeval”, a charity piano festival at the Philharmonie Luxembourg on 9 and 10 June 2018.

Fourteen international pianists will be performing an exquisite selection of piano variations over two days during the Festreeval festival. Included in the programme are a variety of pieces by classical composers such as J. S. Bach, Mozart, Chopin and Bernstein.

The festival will raise funds to help restore the rainforest in Costa Rica, a project that is being run by rainforest.lu, with each ticket sold contributing to the plantation of at least two trees. As Fingertips co-founder Chiahu Lee explains: “We believe that art should serve a greater purpose – in this case we are preserving our planet while performing some wonderful music.”

Entry is €36 per day for adults, or €21 per day for young people (under 27).
