The youth association "youth4planet Luxembourg" yesterday signed an agreement with the Ministry of the Environment that allows the continuous development of educational work on sustainable development and networking in Luxembourg.

On 11 October 2018, the association's president Joerg Altekruse and secretary general Paul Thiltges signed an agreement with Environment Minister Carole Dieschbourg, which will enable the development of educational work on sustainable development and thus contribute to the Agenda 2030 environment objectives.

The association's "Storytelling for sustainable solutions" project thus aims to encourage young people to tell and film their experiences, reflect on the future and share their projects via a mobile phone on an international platform. Entertainment and training are provided for groups and leisure schools, on request. There is already high demand from schools, non-governmental educational institutions, NGOs and youth organistions such as the Scouts. Support also comes from the Ministry of Education. The concept includes inspirational workshops with school classes, seminars and workshops

The goal of Youth4planet is to stimulate as many practical ideas as possible for the sustainable and climate-friendly development of the economy and society and to contribute to their concrete implementation. The well-researched and film-packed stories of creative 6 to 26-year-olds are presented to decision-makers, politicians and the general public in a variety of ways. These include a digital platform still under development, the Story4change Awards, an annual festival and networking events. On 16 November, 15 films by children and young people from the successful Luxembourg pilot phase will be shown at the Environmental and Educational Media Festival in Metz, France.
