The Luxembourg City Tourist Office (LCTO) has announced the dates of its major events for the 2019 tourist season; as in previous years, the events organised in collaboration with the Ville de Luxembourg take place in public areas, outdoors and free-to-enter.
 
Friday 19 and Saturday 20 April 2019 (Easter): "Explore Luxembourg" on Place d'Armes, organised by the LCTO in close consultation with the regional tourist offices and the Ministry of Tourism: information stands and musical entertainment.
 
Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 June 2019 (Pentecost): Marching bands will perform in the pedestrian zone.
 
Friday 14 June 2019: The "Summer in the City" programme begins with the Fête de la Musique, under the label "Luxembourg City, capital of music", where the city centre and the different districts of the city will be alive with all kinds of music.
 
Saturday 22 & Sunday 23 June 2019: The eve of the national holiday (Saturday) and the national holiday (Sunday) will see various diverse and festive activities in the city centre.
 
Saturday 6 July and Sunday 7 July 2019: Kinnekswiss festival - the municipal park is transformed into a gigantic open-air stage to welcome the Luxembourg Philharmonic Orchestra and the Conservatoire of the Ville de Luxembourg.
 
Friday 12 July 2019: "Rock um Knuedler" for fans of rock music.
 
Saturday 27 July 2019: "Blues'n Jazz Rally" - the districts of Pfaffenthal, Clausen and Grund will vibrate to blues and jazz rhythms for the 25th anniversary of this festival.
 
Friday 2 and Saturday 3 August 2019: "Streeta(rt)nimation" - 25th anniversary edition of the street arts festival for young and old in the streets and in the squares of the capital of the Grand Duchy!

Wednesday 14 and Thursday 15 August 15 2019: "MeYouZik", the city centre is transformed into a multicultural and world music festival, including the "MeYouVillage" on 15 Aug where different NGOs will organise stands and cultural events.
