The Syndicat d'Initiative et de Tourisme of the municipality of Rosport-Mompach has announced that the second edition of the Rousperter Wäifest (Rosport wine festival) will take place in the Rosport Town Hall park (9 Rue Henri Tudor, L-6582) on Thursday 9 May 2024.
This event will offer visitors the opportunity to taste quality wines from the limited production of the Sûre valley. Four wine producers, FRU by Georges Schiltz (&Tudorsgeeschter), Maison Viticole Roeder, Ramborn Cider & Co, Vins René Krippes and a wine merchant from Wengler Châteaux et Domaines will present their products for tasting from 11:30. The event is preceded by a cross-border ceremony to celebrate Europe Day at 11:00.
The wine festival also features an accompanying programme: guided hiking tours of the "Hëlt" nature reserve at 10:30 and 14:30, as well as an open day at the Tudor Museum and entertainment for children. Local producers and associations will provide food and drinks, whilst La Moselle Valley Brass Band and Lungo & Mill will provide musical entertainment. The event is scheduled to end at 18:00.
The festival is organised by the Syndicat d'Initiative et de Tourisme of the municipality of Rosport-Mompach with the support of the municipality of Rosport-Mompach, the Tudor Museum and the Natur- & Geopark Mëllerdall.
