Several Luxembourgish co-productions will be on view at the upcoming Annecy International Animation Film Festival (FIFA), which is being held this year from 11-16 June 2018.

The feature films Funan by Denis Do (Bac Cinema) and The Breadwinner by Nora Twomey (Melusine Productions) have been selected in the official competition.

The Kaball Swallows (Les hirondelles de Kaboul) feature film by Peter Ramsey (Melusine Productions) has also been selected from eight international projects to participate in the WIP Feature (“Work in Progress” aimed at bringing to life the stages of creating a production).

Additionally, Alexandre Espigares' first feature film Croc-Blanc (Bidibul Productions) was selected by the organisers for an outdoor screening on Saturday 16 June 2018 at the end of the festival.

Last but not least, a film-concert dedicated to music and animation will focus on the first feature film of Doghouse Films Pachamama directed by Juan Antin in co-production with France and Canada.

In parallel with the festival, the International Animation Film Market (MIFA) will take place from 12-15 June 2018, the essential event for professionals in the animation sector. Since 2001, the National Film Production Support Fund has been present with a Luxembourg promotional stand which serves as an umbrella for some fifteen production companies, animation studios and service companies.
