With a considerable increase in cinema audiences - an additional 20% compared to 2018, with 18,600 audience members in total over the entire festival - and a clear success for the continuous daytime screenings launched this year, the Luxembourg City Film Festival’s 2019 Grand Prix – by Orange went to the British film RAY & LIZ, while the Italian documentary SELFIE received the Documentary Award – by BGL BNP Paribas; the festival’s awards ceremony paid hommage to English director MIKE LEIGH.
