Their Royal Highnesses the Hereditary Grand Duke and Hereditary Grand Duchess of Luxembourg, accompanied by Prime Minister Xavier Bettel, will attend the 68th International Film Festival Berlin (Berlinale) on 19 February 2018.

Their Royal Highnesses the Hereditary Grand Duke and Duchess will travel to Berlin along with Prime Minister and Minister of Culture Xavier Bettel as part of the 68th Berlinale.

As part of the trip, the royal couple will visit the Babelsberg film studios, founded in 1912 and located in Potsdam. Next, Their Royal Highnesses will participate in a guided tour of the "Michel Majerus Estate", former workshops of the Luxembourg painter, who dies in 2002 during the crash of a Luxair aircraft- and whose work "Untitled" (Violet) is permanently on display at the Mudam.

At the end of the day, the Hereditary Grand Duke and Hereditary Grand Duchess will attend the Berlinale awards ceremony, which will be awarded to Jean Pütz, Ranga Yogeshwar and Tom Hillenbrand.
