Action adventure; 121 mins; 12+

Batman (Ben Affleck) and Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) recruit a team of superheroes to oppose a new threat when the future of the planet is at stake, courtesy of the villian Steppenwolf. Inspired by Superman (Henry Cavill), they are joined by Aquaman (Jason Momoa). The Flash (Ezra Miller) and Cyborg (Ray Fisher).

A great ensemble cast also featuring Amy Adams (as Lois Lane), Jeremy Irons (as Alfred) and more, Justice League is more than the sum of its parts. The storyline may be a bit hollow, but this is superheroes territory after all; but the dialogue (including the jokes, punch-lines and self-depreciating humour), the character development and the chemistry between them all shines through.
