The Luxembourg undertakings for collective investment (UCI) industry recorded a positive change amounting to €135.079 billion in the month of January 2019. 

As of 31 January 2019, the aggregate net assets of global UCIs amounted to €4.199.723 billion, as opposed to €4.064.644 billion on 31 December 2018, a decrease of 3.32% over one month. Over the past twelve months, the volume of net assets decreased by 0.34%.

For its part, the Luxembourg UCI industry thus posted a positive change in the month of January, amounting to €135.079 billion. This increase represents the balance of negative net issues amounting to  €4.344 billion (-0.11%) and favourable financial market developments of €139.433 billion (+3.43%).

The number of UCIs taken into consideration was 3,889 compared to 3,908 the previous month. 2,524 entities have adopted an umbrella structure representing 13,527 compartments. Adding 1,365 entities with a traditional structure, a total of 14,892 units are active in the financial centre.
