On Thursday 14 March 2024, Swissquote Bank Europe, a Luxembourg-based online bank for investing, hosted the second installment of the Swissquote Investment Day at Kinepolis Kirchberg.

The event, which provided an independent outlook on key trends shaping the investment landscape in 2024, gathered over 500 professional and private investors.

During keynote speeches and roundtable debates, local and international investment professionals shared their views on the new investment paradigm and the challenges and opportunities for the coming months. Topics included considerations on central bank policies, regional preferences, sector rotations and the impact of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) which is expected to continue and expand across various industries, including cloud computing, cybersecurity, biotech, automobiles and energy transition technologies.

In addition, the panellists from Amundi, BlackRock and WisdomTree emphasised the importance of adapting to evolving macroeconomic conditions and technological advancements while maintaining diversified portfolios to capitalise on emerging opportunities and mitigate risks.

The Swissquote Investment Day 2024 attracted various roundtable participants and keynote speakers including Financial Times columnist Tim Harford, economist and author Linda Yueh, behavioural economist Shlomo Benartzi, personal finance author and returning speaker Andrew Hallam, as well as value investor Candi Carrera.
