Kazakh folklore ensemble Sazgen Sazy will perform at the Conservatoire de la Ville de Luxembourg in Luxembourg-Hollerich on Sunday 15 October 2023 at 15:00.

The "Timeless Tunes of Kazakh Steppes" concert is co-organised by the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Brussels, the Honorary Consulate of Kazakhstan in Luxembourg and Eurasian Resources Group (ERG).

Founded in 1981, Sazgen Sazy has been popularising Kazakh music by constantly searching for new approaches, combinations of musical styles and collaborations. To mirror the rich musical heritage of Kazakhstan, each Sazgen Sazy musician plays several ancient and newer instruments ranging from the dombyra and saz syrnai to the adyrna and narkobyz.

The repertoire of the ensemble includes famous pieces of Kazakh music by Kurmangazy, Tattimbet and Sughur, as well as adaptations of various classical pieces to ancient Kazakh instruments. Sazgen Sazy has performed in Switzerland, South Korea, Japan, Netherlands, Italy, Spain, China, Austria, Greece and France.
