On Thursday evening, FC Progrès Niederkorn played the first leg of their game against Glasgow Rangers in the UEFA Europa League first qualifying round, in Scotland.

The goal came from a Niko Kranjcar free kick after 37 minutes, with Kenny Miller shooting low past Sebastian Flauss in the visitor's goal.Rangers dominated the game for long periods but could not add to the scoresheet.

The visitors could have scored themselves, thanks tzo efforts from May Watyka and Alexander Karapetian.

The return match, on Thursday 6 July, will be held at the Stade Josy Barthel on Route d'Arlon in Luxemourg-ville.
