Bringing back the golden age of gaming, a Luxembourg-made and Luxembourg-language arcade game, Sigi, launches this month from Pixel.lu.

An epic quest game, Sigi takes players on Luxembourgish Count Siefried's mission to save the love of his life, Melusina, while doing battle with goofy enemies and massive boss fights, exploring secret, treasure-filled caverns, with carefully crafted pixel-art graphics and animations, to its very own soundtrack.

Inspired by classics like Ghosts n’ Goblins, Super Mario World and Donkey Kong, Sigi aims to bring modern technology to time-tested gaming mechanics on iOS, Android and Windows 10 platforms.

Created by Luxembourg company, pixel.lu, the game takes players on Sigi’s epic quest to save the love of his life, Melusina, while taking on goofy enemies and massive boss fights, exploring secret, treasure-filled caverns, with carefully crafted pixel-art graphics and animations, to its very own soundtrack.

The game was designed by Sebastian Kostka, a.k.a. Zapposh, whose previous titles over a 20-year career, include Rayman, Tonic Trouble and Tim7, while Nigel Shields, a.k.a. Saskrotch, who did the soundtracks for Rex Rocket and mixes for Nintendo Breaks, created the soundtrack.

Sigi will be available on iOS, Android, Windows 10, with more to come, for €1.99, in English, French, German, and Luxembourgish.
