PwC Luxembourg and Dathena have announced that they have joined forces to launch a joint business relationship.

Today companies are facing multiple challenges linked to data governance. They need to properly manage data confidentiality and ownership, comply with many regulations and ensure proper data access, among many others. In this context, PwC Luxembourg and Dathena teamed up and launched a Joint Business Relationship (JBR) bringing innovative services in data governance.

Dathena offers business-centric solutions transforming Big Data into Smart Data that facilitate data exploitation. Its data governance platform based on machine learning technology categorises and classifies company data. It also provides organisations an overview as to who is manipulating confidential or personal data, where exactly they are stored and ultimately simplifies data lifecycle management with automatic data clustering and classification.

According to Frédéric Vonner, partner and GDPR leader at PwC Luxembourg, “compliance with the different data regulations is critical and should be at the heart of all business concerns. This collaboration with Dathena will allow us to take advantage of their unique technology and provide our clients innovative solutions to data governance’s issues they’re facing, including GDPR.”

Christopher Muffat, Founder and CEO of Dathena, added: “Using PwC Luxembourg’s expertise in data and risk management combined with our unique data governance software will allow us to help our clients make the best strategic choices while contributing to be compliant with new regulations”.
