82 people and 24 speakers attended last weekend’s “I’m creating my company” seminar, organised by Fuse – Objectif Plein Emploi and the Indian Business Chamber Luxembourg (IBCL).

On Friday 27 and Saturday 28 April 2018, 82 participants and 24 speakers and panellists gathered at the Chamber of Commerce in Kirchberg for this year’s edition of the seminar, organised now for 19 years in French by Fuse, and since 2017, in English in partnership with the IBCL.

Michel Wurth, President of the Chamber of Commerce, opened the 2018 edition of the seminar with a speech that underlined the importance of individuals considering creating their own jobs. He also highlighted the efforts of the Chamber of Commerce and Ville de Luxembourg in setting up the House of Startups in order to provide the right support to those who embark in the venture of entrepreneurship.

Remy Manso and Yannis Xydias, partners of MansoGroup, encouraged the audience to avoid waiting to know everything before starting their company, stating: “You’ll never know it all. But you need to be able to learn every day. If you choose a partner, do not take somebody who thinks exactly like you. Chose the one who complements you so that common actions are leveraged.”

Asked how they perceive this initiative, participants considered the programme as “stimulating”, whilst others appreciated the fact that the seminar was given in English.
