On Monday 20 November 2017, Le Freeport Luxembourg welcomed the visit of Mrs. Ana Hinojosa, Director of the World Customs Organisation to their premises in Senningerberg.

Mrs. Hinojosa, an American citizen, presides over the destiny of this international organisation created in 1953, which brings together the customs of 182 countries responsible for 98% of world trade.

The World Customs Organisation is developing proposals to facilitate international trade, an international nomenclature for products traded between nations, and other measures to facilitate the fair taxation of trade.

Director Hinojosa said she was delighted by this visit of the Freeport facilities and was impressed by the level of security and transparency of the Luxembourg facilities.
