On Tuesday 29 May 2018, Luxembourg's Secretary of State for the Economy, Francine Closener, launched CreativeCluster.lu, a digital collaboration platform of the Creative Industries Cluster, in the presence of Marc Lis and Jan Glas, respectively manager and president of the Luxembourg Creative Industries Cluster.

The aim of the CreativeCluster.lu platform is to create a close link between all the professionals in the creative industry in Luxembourg and the players who can call on their services.

A Luxinnovation-led structure, the Luxembourg Creative Industries Cluster aims to support the economic development of the sector which brings together industries such as architecture (engineering / urban planning), crafts, visual arts, film and audiovisual production, design, fashion design, gaming, marketing and communication, literature, digital media, media publishing, performing arts and music.

CreativeCluster.lu aims to facilitate communication between the various stakeholders. The site will present job offers in the creative sector as well as calls for projects and events.

Secretary of State Closener said "The online launch of the new digital platform helps to bring together and federate players in the creative industry sector and facilitates multisectoral collaborations with other economic sectors, such as industry, at national and cross-border level."

"By promoting the capacities of Luxembourg's creative players at national and international level, this powerful research tool will also make it easy for companies and organisations to find the creative products and services they are looking for in Luxembourg," commented Marc Lis.

In Luxembourg, the creative industries represent more than 2,200 companies and 7,000 jobs, of which 1,000 are self-employed.

In autumn, the first edition of the annual magazine "Do Do Do", which presents all the members of the Luxembourg Creative Industries Cluster, highlighting their remarkable achievements, will also be published.
