On Friday 2 February 2018, the Luxembourg Finance Labelling Agency (LuxFLAG) hosted an EU label committee to discuss European green labels after the publication of the final report by the EU High-Level Expert Group on Sustainable Finance (HLEG).

The meeting took place at the House of Finance in Luxembourg-Kirchberg and served to review best practices and ascertain how the EU Commission could build on the most advanced European labels in the Responsible Investment sector. The participants were from the EU Commission (DG ENV and DG FISMA), representatives of HLEG members (including the Luxembourg Green Exchange) as well as labelling and certification initiatives from Austria, France, Germany, the Netherlands and the Nordic countries.

Luxembourg has welcomed the report published on 31 January 2018 by the HLEG, an expert group established by the EU Commission in December 2016, and looks forward to working with its European partners towards the implementation of the ambitious EU strategy.
