The 1535° Creative Hub project was launched by the City of Differdange in 2013 with the objective of stimulating the combined deployment of creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship in all its forms and creating a platform where creative industries develop and trade.

A co-financing agreement was signed on 24 September 2017 on the occasion of the 1535° Open House by Luxembourg's Secretary of State for Economy, Francine Closener, and the Mayor of the City of Differdange, Roberto Traversini.

As part of the national policy of economic diversification and the development of the creative industries sector, the government is supporting the initiative for a total of €9 million for the development of the 1535° Creative Hub during the years 2017, 2018 and 2019. The works renovation of the second of the three buildings constituting the 1535° have already been started. The financial support of the State allows the continuation of these works as well as the renovation of the third building.

At the signing ceremony, Secretary of State Closener said: "As an incubator, the 1535° contributes to the diversity of our ecosystem start-up. With a special focus on creative industries, the project is dedicated to a sector with high development potential and offers excellent opportunities for collaboration with young creative people. The government's co-financing allows creative entrepreneurs to have premises at reasonable prices in an environment conducive to collaboration and exchanges. Launched at the beginning of the year, the "Creative Industries" Cluster is already very active and also uses a collaborative approach to unite the various players in the creative industries. It now counts 85 members and concretises its first projects, in particular an online platform of exchange and promotion for creative entrepreneurs."

At present the 1535° Creative Hub already hosts more than 60 entrepreneurs and companies at different stages of development and maturity from a wide variety of industries in the creative sector.
