JE winners 2018: Picto;

Organised by the association Jonk Entrepreneuren Luxembourg (JEL), the final of the "Young Enterprise Project" (YEP) took place on Thursday 3 May 2018, in partnership with the BIL and nyuko, with Picto being awarded the winner's accolade.

The YEP is a programme organised since 2012 by Jonk Entrepreneuren Luxembourg which continues to be a growing success.

With 16 teams in 2017, this edition atraccted 22 teams from the School of Business and Management, Ettelbruck Technical High School and Lycée des Arts & Métiers. A total of 7 teams were selected for the national finals and more than 100 people gathered at the BIL's headquarters.

Lucas Arndt, a member of the winning team of the previous edition, shared his experience on the European final in Helsinki which was an incredible and rewarding event on several levels. Jacques Lorang, founder of Luxcaddy.lu, also delivered an inspiring testimony on his career as an entrepreneur. He was able to share with all the students how his idea gradually evolved from a project to a company with growing success.

3 teams were distinguished; therefore, determining the winners of this edition was particularly difficult. Many innovative projects with real potential to succeed were presented. With only 5 minutes to present each project, the students redoubled their efforts to condense months of work into such a short time.

The jury was made up of: Thibaut Ciccone (Nyuko), Marc Hoffmann (Cactus), Marc Feider (Allen & Overy), Dominique Moeremans (ECG Marketing Professor), Tom Lessel (BIL) and Nico Grethen ( BIL).

The first prize was won by the PICTO team of the ECG. The idea of the three students, Tina Their, Gianluca Marinelli and Alessio Weber is to create a communication tool for people with autism in the form of a digital application that would replace paper that is currently used.
