VNX Exchange, a marketplace for tokenised venture capital assets, has appointed Andy Shannon as an advisor; as Startupbootcamp’s (a network of industryfocused startup accelerators) former head of global direction, his experience working with high-impact innovators from around the world will be a huge asset to VNX Exchange.

Shannon and his team supported thousands of entrepreneurs by launching more than 30 new offices across 14 countries for Startupbootcamp. He is a member of the World Economic Forum's Digital Leaders Board, which develops Europe’s innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem. He has also worked for several tech startups in executive roles and has experience in venture investing from seed to growth.

His appointment will help VNX Exchange to develop technology innovation and entrepreneurship worldwide. Investors are returning to the traditional VC market with more and more money being pumped into the industry – VNX Exchange aims to further develop the sector, which will empower VC and boost entrepreneurship.

"We’re very lucky to have Andy join our Advisory Board. From the first time we met him, we were impressed and humbled by his job experience in a global startup environment. It's not a secret that it's currently a very promising time for the venture industry. However, despite the fact that the current global VC market is estimated at around $1 trn, most of the capital is still locked up. I personally believe that important triggers for VC development might be new formats of cooperation with industry peers and partners. We look forward to working with Andy, as we expect that our collaboration will be useful both for the industry and for entrepreneurship," said Alexander Tkachenko, VNX Exchange CEO and founder.

"Having worked with startups around the world for many years, I'm well aware of how important venture investment is to the growth of these companies. VNX Exchange has an exciting opportunity to become the engine to expand the venture capital industry by solving the liquidity deficit using blockchain technology. This is an exciting time for us, and I hope that together with VNX Exchange we can bring opportunities to many more entrepreneurs by fostering a culture of risk-taking and facilitating access to capital," Shannon said.

VNX Exchange is a marketplace and a trading platform for tokenised venture capital assets from Luxembourg. The project is based on the 2be.lu venture fund that was searching for the solution of the liquidity lack. VNX's main goal is to unlock liquidity for venture capital industry and to address risk diversification in startup investing, while making access to the best deals available and to a far wider investor base.
