Luxembourg-City Incubator (LCI) and nyuko have announced the appointment of their new CEOS: Martin Guérin and Nicolas Fries respectively.

The LCI, the incubator launched in April 2018 by the Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the City of Luxembourg, has just named Martin Guérin as its first CEO. A graduate of the Normandy Management School and a certified coach of over 200 entrepreneurs, Martin Guérin moved to Luxembourg in January 2016 to take the helm of and contribute to the a.s.b.l. nyuko with his significant experience in startup support, acquired in the Parisian economic development and innovation agency Paris & Co. Under his direction, nyuko has significantly expanded its service offering and doubled the number of supported startups. LCI, which is hosted at the House of Startups, supports start-ups by offering accommodation, advice and training in their start-up phase.

The reins of nyuko will therefore be taken over by Nicolas Fries. A management engineer with a degree from HEC Belgium, Nicolas Fries worked for several years with entrepreneurs and startups in Belgium before joining the Chamber of Commerce's "Espace Entreprises" in October 2016. He then he took up the position of business manager at the House of Entrepreneurship.

Carlo Thelen, general manager of the Chamber of Commerce - the main sponsor of the LCI and nyuko asbl initiatives - has welcomed these new job assignments: "Perfectly familiar with the local entrepreneurial ecosystem, Martin Guérin is the ideal candidate to make the LCI prosper and to turn it into a real place of innovation and exchange for startups. I am also delighted that Nicolas Fries, who is doing an outstanding job at the House of Entrepreneurship, has expressed his willingness to replace Martin at the head of the a.s.b.l. nyuko to ensure a smooth transition."
