Marc-Oliver Scharwath, MainFirst;
MainFirst is strengthening its presence in Luxembourg and has appointed Marc-Oliver Scharwath as a new member of the Executive Board of MainFirst Affiliated Fund Managers S.A. effective 1 October 2018.
Scharwath will work to further expand MainFirst's local presence in Luxembourg and be responsible for the areas of Relationship Management & Marketing, Finance & Controlling as well as Product Management for Alternative Investment Structures.
The 41-year-old has been working in the financial sector in Luxembourg for more than ten years. Before joining MainFirst, Scharwath was responsible for the expansion of Universal-Investment's Luxembourg platform as Managing Director and Country Head. The fully qualified lawyer, who also holds a Master of Laws degree in International Commercial and Business Law (LL.M.), has an international education that also took him to Great Britain and the USA in addition to his studies in Germany.
