The LCGB and OGBL trade unions have announced that negotiations, described as both difficult but constructive, for a new collective labour agreement for Lindab Astron Buildings SA were concluded on 11 December 2018.

Despite a difficult economic situation with a reorganisation plan announced at the end of 2017, the LCGB, the majority trade union involved, and the OGBL have been able to maintain the current achievements while negotiating the following improvements:
• extension of the arrival area in the morning and reduction of the starting range at the end of the day;
• possibility of purchasing additional holidays on a voluntary basis (13th month);
• 1 extra day of (extra-legal) leave on 24 December 2019.

The signed contract has a validity of 2 years (from 1 January 2018 to 31 December 2019). During this period, the contracting unions and the staff delegation have arranged for a regular follow-up of the reorganisation file as well as an even closer collaboration with management.
