CEO for 1 Month 2018, Nicole Wagner;

The Adecco Group Luxembourg has announced that it has launched the sixth edition of its "CEO for 1 Month" programme, offering the unique opportunity for candidates to become a CEO in Luxembourg.

Applications are now open and students can register online here

In Luxembourg, young talents will go through a recruitment process in which the Adecco Group will evaluate their team spirit and their ability to innovate. The best will be chosen to become "CEO1Month" and accompany the Adecco Group CEO of Luxembourg, Fabrice Poncé, in carrying out his various missions on a daily basis.

The "CEO1Month" contract will begin on 17 June and will expire on 16 July 2019.

Following this unique experience in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, the leader will compete with the CEO1Month of 46 other countries to become "CEO1Month worldwide" alongside the CEO of the Adecco Group, Alain Dehaze. This process will involve ten of the worldwide talented candidates being selected, like the Luxembourg’s "CEO for One Month" 2018, Nicole Wagner. They will attend a rigorous boot camp to test their collaboration and innovation skills, learning about themselves and the world of work. Only one will then be selected to work alongside the Group CEO, Alain Dehaze, for one month. It is the experience of a lifetime and is an ideal launching pad for personal and professional development.

The registration process for the 2019 global programme is now open to young candidates in 47 countries world-wide, offering a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the leaders of tomorrow.

The CEO for the One Month programme, under the Adecco Group Foundation, is designed to give young people the hands-on work experience they need to build their careers – offering ‘real-world’ training that cannot be gained in school or university.

Commenting on the programme, Alain Dehaze, the Adecco Group CEO, said “Our ‘CEO for One Month’ programme is a unique opportunity. It helps young people thrive in their careers and increase their confidence and exposure, by giving them highly effective work-based learning inside a Fortune 500 company. It is testament to the strength of the programme that many candidates join us and our customers in permanent roles after it has finished.

The 2018 Global ‘CEO for One Month’, Lisa Frommhold, added “It was an amazing and unique opportunity, giving me an insight into the world of work that would have otherwise been impossible. I gained exposure to an international business and access to a network of incredible people that I am still in contact with to this day. I had meaningful experiences and made enduring relationships and would recommend the programme to any young person looking to develop, both personally and professionally.”

To participate, candidates should apply via the Adecco Group ‘CEO for One Month website’. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to an interview and further assessment in Luxembourg. The position includes a salary intended to support the successful candidate’s education and/or professional development. Selected ‘CEOs for One Month’ will receive ongoing guidance and professional opportunities, becoming part of a global network

The ‘CEO for One Month’ programme began as a local initiative in Norway in 2011 and was formalised in to a global programme in 2014, since growing in to a flagship initiative for the Adecco Group under the Adecco Group Foundation. It helps young people increase their employability and career prospects through highly effective work-based learning. The programme operates under the Adecco Group Foundation which aims to improve work readiness of young people and other underserved populations who struggle to enter the workforce.

Applications for the 2018 programme exceeded 204,000.
