(L-R): Fabien Amoretti, Kamel Amroune, FARVEST Group;

Febien Amoretti has stepped down as the CEO at Farvest Group, a position he has held since June 2000, with Kamel Amroune promoted from Partner ICT & Finance.

The Farvest Group has around thirty brands within its portfolio and is the largest and strongest corporate event management company in the Grand Duchy; it operates across different business sectors, from ICT to HR and Finance, as well as sustainable development, mobility, agrifood, health and space, and also provides a range of other services to these communities.

Fabien Amoretti explained that the time was now right for a change and that the company has just finished an excellent 2017, the best year since 2000, with growth and profitability both above 15%. With the company and its team being collectively ready, the company in financial good health, and the market ready, the time was right to implement such a change.

Kamel Amroune, an entrepreneur, joined the Farvest Group in 2007 and has been instrumental in building up the Luxembourg ICT Community with ITOne and ICT Spring, the latter which attracts 5,000 people annually, and the Luxembourg Finance Management Community with CFOWorld, Private Banking and Funds Event.

Talking about the change, he stated "Above all, I see in Farvest a fantastic human adventure that has allowed me to enrich myself alongside brilliant people, not only within it but also with all our customers and partners. However, there is always a moment in the life of a man where one knows oneself ready to take up new challenges. After 10 years of career with Farvest, that's my case."

On the future, he talked about "the possibility to implement my vision of the future of Farvest and the ecosystems on which we operate. I am currently finalizing our new roadmap and I will be happy to share it in a few months: a strategy designed to create a new impetus for our activity, while preserving the beautiful heritage we enjoy."

Fabien Amoretti becomes the Head of Digital Transformation at Farvest. For now he retains his shareholding, but admitted this could change in the future. On this point, Kamel Amroune confirmed "we have been regularly approached by various investors" and stressed the importance of "how he can support our new strategy". He also acknowledged "Investing heavily in new technologies becomes necessary to implement our new vision".

Om working together, Kamel Amroune stated "While Fabien is intuitive and go-getter, I admit to being much more pragmatic: I like to master all the parameters, to rely on solid references and to leave quickly in conquest. This difference between us is, in my opinion, a great source of controlled creativity because it allows us to generate a lot of ideas and to put the best in application quickly. The time to market is important: you have to be there first but not too early."

He concluded by stating "it is important to preserve our DNA and consolidate what we have built. My personal roadmap will therefore be mainly to continue doing what we do best within Farvest, diversifying however our portfolio of services and keeping in mind the interest of our teams and that of the Luxembourg ecosystem."

Talking with Chronicle.lu when asked about his future plans, Fabien Amoretti stated "I remain at Farvest and will take care of the marketing of non-tech sectors, with a specific focus on initiatives and projects in human capital, digital transformation, campus and talents challenges, i.e. Morpheus Cup, HR One, etc. I strongly believe that it's a great moment to accompany many non-tech sectors or functions in understanding and leveraging the tech wave. And some B2C things in mind too, but too early to present them".

And Kamel Amroune said to Chronicle.lu "I’m deeply convinced that tech is about people, as far as Fabien is convinced that people is starting to be more and more about tech. Globally, my responsibilities are now becoming more strategic, more global and piloting a company like Farvest is frankly a dream job. Free hands, great assets, amazing network: when you have such an environment of work everything is possible. I will of course still be in charge of connecting many leaders, techs and projects (mainly in finance and ICT but not only) in order to bring speed and create value for our stakeholders: end users, sponsors and governmental partners. It’s also a huge responsibility towards our team, people that make things happen every day. Farvest will still benefit from Fabien's creativity skills as Head of Innovation - so stay tuned - but it’s a great thing to have him back on the HR ecosystem he has imagined 15 years ago. This community is now quickly evolving and his experience in tech, from digital to space, is a great asset for human capital leaders, CDO & experts he devotes himself to."
