Vodafone has joined forces with local startup company The Job Tailors to encourage people on career breaks to return to work in Luxembourg.

The new joint campaign between the global telecoms provider Vodafone and Luxembourg-based startup The Job Tailors is aimed at helping people who have been out of the workforce for over a year to get back on the career ladder.

One of the venture’s main target groups is women, many of whom may have chosen to take a career break to raise a family. Kim Hurst from Vodafone Luxembourg commented: “There are a large number of highly skilled, experienced and talented women in Luxembourg who would like to restart their career but lack either the confidence or opportunity to do so. This brand alliance will provide flexible working options and support to bring this talent pool back into the workforce.”

The Vodafone ‘ReConnect’ initiative offers part time and flexible working options in conjunction with in-work training to refresh and enhance existing skills. Vacancies on this scheme are now available in the Grand Duchy, where Vodafone employs over 300 people in the Global Procurement, Roaming Services and Innovation Centre.

The Job Tailors offer consultancy services to companies who wish to introduce flexible working solutions to their employees and their ‘Returners’ programme prepares women for their return to the work place by offering coaching sessions, career advice and access to their network.

The collaboration will kick off with a ReConnect workshop at the Vodafone office in Kirchberg, to inspire, encourage and equip women to restart their careers in Luxembourg. There will be CV and interview advice, information about the job market in Luxembourg and the opportunity to meet inspiring women who manage a career and a family here in Luxembourg.

Those interested in joining the workshop on 21 September 2017 at 19.00 should register at www.eventbrite.com/preview?eid=36393548082. Places are limited and attendance will be first come first serve.
