The Cancer Foundation Luxembourg yesterday presented a check for €417,400 to researchers from the University of Luxembourg for skin cancer cell research.
The cheque was presented to the researchers Professor Dr. Iris Behrmann, Dr. Stephanie Kreis and Dr. Geoffroy Walbrecq from the University of Luxembourg to further their study of the communication between skin cancer cells and their microenvironment.
This financial support will enable them to investigate the role of secreted factors in the intercellular communication between cancer cells and their microenvironment, ie the role of the secretome in melanoma progression.
