Traffic adaptations are to be expected in Luxembourg City as a result of the scheduled asphalt paving around the Place de l’Etoile, at the city end of Route d’Arlon.

The Ville de Luxembourg and Public Roads Administration have announced that road works, involving traffic changes, will be carried out on the Rue de Rollingergrund, Rue du Val Ste Croix and Route d’Arlon, starting this Saturday 11 April.

More specifically, the works will be carried out on three sections:

· Section A: In Rue de Rollingergrund from the former Rue de Rollingergrund to the intersection with Route d’Arlon, works will take place from 14:00 on Saturday 14 April and the reopening of the road is scheduled for Monday 16 April at 04:00.

· Section B: At Square New York, works will also take place between Saturday at 14:00 and Monday at 04:00.

· Section C: On Route d’Arlon from Place de l'Etoile up to Rue Nicolas Simmer, works will begin on Saturday at 18:00 and the road will reopen on Monday at 04:00.

Construction works will be carried out during the day where possible and night-time work will be limited to marking work carried out during the night of Sunday 15 to Monday 16 April.

During the construction phase these sections will be barred to all traffic.

The recommended direction to get around this site is via the A6 motorway - Helfent exit / Route de Longwy.

Considering that the Avenue de la Faïencerie is closed to traffic because of the work undertaken at its opening with the Rue de Rollingergrund, road users coming from the district of Limpertsberg may, during the entire phase of work announced above, either access the Rollingergrund district via Rue Albert Unden and Rue Mühlenbach street or take the côte d’Eich via Rue des Glacis.

In addition, the appropriate deviations will be provided by the Traffic Service, which will ensure the establishment of appropriate signage. In case of adverse weather conditions, the intervention may be postponed.

In addition, the following changes should be noted for public transport:

· Section A: From Saturday at 17:00 to Sunday at 00:30, lines AVL 21 and 31 will run in both directions between Monterey / Hamilius and Val St André stops along Avenue Gaston Diderich, Rue Pierre Federspiel and Val St André. In order to guarantee service to the Bei der Fiels, Beim Klomp and Val Fleuri stops, a shuttle will be set up which will make the connection between the deflected line 21 and the stops in question. Charlys Gare quai 1 will be abolished and replaced by Wampach while Biischtefabrik will be discontinued and not replaced. Outside the hours indicated above, the lines in question will circulate normally.

· Section B: At the times indicated above, the lines AVL 8, 12 and CN2 in the direction of Belair will circulate between the Place de l'Etoile and the Allée Léopold Goebel via Avenue Gaston Diderich and Avenue des Archiducs. For the return journey, towards the city centre, the lines 8 and 12 will be diverted via the Avenue des Archiducs, Avenue Gaston Diderich and Boulevard Joseph II. In both directions, Square New York will be removed and replaced by Archiducs.

· Section C: At the times indicated above, lines AVL 22 and 28 will run in both directions between Charlys Gare and P + R Stade via Gaston Diderich, Rue d'Amsterdam and Rue d'Ostende. The Service d’Incendie stop will be abolished and replaced by the P + R Stade stop.
