On the occasion of Automotive Day, Sales-Lentz presented its brand new acquisition: Navya's Autonomous Shuttle.

The first 100% self-driving vehicle was unveiled by Sales-Lentz at the Goodyear test circuit on Thursday and interest from guests and the media was high. A justified interest, since the model called "Navya Shuttle" has neither pedals nor steering wheel and therefore no driver intervened during the trip. However, an "attenndant" was always on board to inform the passengers and to intervene in case of breakdown.

The autonomous shuttle of Sales-Lentz has a capacity of 15 places, including 4 standing. On average, autonomy lasts 9 hours and refuelling it completely takes between 4 and 8 hours. Inside there is a touch screen, which serves to inform users and through which the "attendant" can at any time check the condition of the vehicle. The maximum speed is 45 km / h and on average the autonomous shuttle runs at 20 km / h.

Around the European mobility week next September, two autonomous vehicles will be put into circulation to fill a gap in this transport offer in the Grand Duchy. The distance of the trip will be about 5km.
