Following a fire on Rue d'Audun in Esch-sur-Alzette, rail traffic has been interrupted on line 60 between Luxembourg and Rodange.

The fire, which required the intervention of the emergency services in the immediate vicinity of the railway infrastructure, resulted in disruption of rail traffic on line 60 (Luxembourg - Esch / Alzette - Pétange - Rodange).

In order to ensure the safety of the emergency services, earthing of catenaries in the immediate vicinity of the fire at Rue d'Audun in Esch had to be carried out. A gradual recovery of train traffic on line 60 was planned from 17:51. However, CFL has since announced that there is currently no train running between Esch-sur-Alzette and Esch-Belval.

Seven substitute buses have been set up between Luxembourg and Esch-sur-Alzette. These will depart from Platform 19 of the Gare de Luxembourg bus station. Customers are recommended to allow more time for their usual journey due to this incident. To reach the Belval by train, customers travelling from Luxembourg are advised to take the TICE bus from the Esch-sur-Alzette train station.
