Rue de la Laboratoire in Bonnevoie to be Resurfaced

The Rocade de Bonnevoie (Rue du Laboratoire and Rue de Bonnevoie) will be undergoing resurfacing between 14-16 July 2018.

These road repairs will be carried out in separate phases and will involve the following traffic changes. From Saturday 14 July at 19:00 until Sunday 15 July at 03:00, the Rue du Laboratoire (section between Rue des Trévires and Rue de Bonnevoie) and Rue de Bonnevoie (section between Rue du Fort Neipperg and towards the South) will be closed to all traffic. Access to the garages of residents will however guaranteed.

Likewise, from Saturday 14 July at 19:00 until Monday 15 July at 05:00, traffic towards the South will follow one direction towards the exit from the pedestrian bridge connecting Rue de Bonnevoie to the central station and the access ramps to the Büchler bridge. The Rue de la Laboratoire will also be set in one direction from the Rue des Trévires to and from Avenue Charles de Gaulle. Rue de Bonnevoie will follow one direction from the Rue des Romains towards the South.

From Sunday 15 July 2018 at 03:00 until Monday 16 July 2018 at 05:00, the Rue de la Laboratoire (section between Rue des Trevires and Rue de Bonnevoie) as well as Rue de Bonnevoie (section between Rue du Fort Neipperg and the South) will be closed to traffic. Entry and exit at the residents' garages will not be allowed during this period. It is recommended to inhabitants of the streets, where parking will be prohibited during the two days, to park it outside this zone and more precisely in the adjacent streets. 

During the entire duration of the works, access to the city center via the Rocade de Bonnevoie will not be possible. For road users coming from the East (Sandweiler) and the A1 motorway, access will be via the Kirchberg plateau. For vehicles coming from the South, entry into town will be via Route de Thionville, the Büchler bridge, Route de Hollerich and Route d'Esch. Appropriate signage will be put in place marking diversion routes.

In addition, the following changes are scheduled for municipal bus lines 5/6, 7, 15 and 29:

Lines 5/6: In the direction of Bonnevoie, Demy Schlechter, the lines will be diverted via Rue des Trévires and Rue Auguste Charles between the stops Wallis Quai 1 and Leo XIII Quai 2. The stations Gare Rocade Quai 2 and Rotonde will not be served, replaced by the Virchow stop. In the direction of Bertrange, the lines will be diverted via the Auguste Charles, Trévires and Bender streets between the stops Léon XIII Quai 1 and Paris / Zitha Quai 2. The stops Rotonde, Gare Rocade Quai 1 and Wallis Quai 3 will not be served, replaced by Virchow and Wallis Quai 2.

Line 7: In the direction of Pulvermuhl, the line will be diverted via Rue Auguste Charles and Rue des Trévires between stops Leo XIII Quai 1 and Laboratoire. The Rotonde and Gare Rocade Quai 1 stops will not be served and will be replaced by the Virchow stop. In the direction of Rehazenter, the line will be diverted via Rue Lavoisier, Boulevard de la Fraternité, Rue des Trevires and Rue Auguste Charles between General Patton and Leo XIII Quai 2. The stops Lavoisier, Laboratoire, Gare Rocade Quai 2 and Rotonde will not be served and will be replaced by a temporary stop in front of 1, Rue Lavoisier.

Line 15: In the direction of Hamm, the line will be diverted via Rue des Trévires between the stops Wallis Quai 1 and Gabriel Lippmann. Gare Rocade Quai 2 and Rotonde will not be served, replaced by Virchow. In the direction of Rue des Celtes, the line will be diverted via Rue des Trévires and Rue Bender between Gabriel Lippmann and Paris / Zitha Quai 2. Rotonde, Gare Rocade Quai 1 and Wallis Quai 3 will not be served, replaced by Virchow and Wallis Quai 2.

Line 29: In the direction of Howald, P + R Lux-Sud, the line will be diverted via Boulevard de la Pétrusse, Rue Dicks, Avenue de la Liberté, Place de la Gare and JP Büchler bridge between the Dernier Sol and Al Molkerei stops. Gare Rocade Quai 2 will not be served, instead replaced by Gare Quai 102. In the direction of the airport, the line will be diverted via J.P. Büchler Bridge, Place de la Gare and Avenue de la Gare between the Dernier Sol and Al Molkerei stops. Gare Rocade Quai 1 will not be served, but replaced by Gare Quai 9.
