As part of the European Mobility Week, which takes place each year from 16-22 September, the CFL, the City of Luxembourg, Luxtram, Adapth, Info-Handicap, Blannevereenegung and Verkéiersverbond today organised the event "Multimodality for all".

In this context, a "train, funicular, tram and bus"  journey was organised in the presence of people with reduced mobility and the visually impaired to raise public awareness of multimodality for all. The route included the following steps: a train ride from Luxembourg Station to Pfaffenthal-Kirchberg, taking the funicular to the Pfaffenthal-Kirchberg interchange, then using the tram to arrive at the Stäreplaz / Étoile interchange, before finally taking the bus to Luxembourg Bus Station.

A Rollibus, exhibited by the Bus Service of the City of Luxembourg at the forecourt of the Luxembourg Station, as well as several stands installed in the lobby of the steps of the station, allowed visitors to get informed on different topics concerning visually impaired people and those with reduced mobility as well as public transport in general.

For instance, the stand of the association "Info-Handicap" in collaboration with Adapth and the Foundation Lëtzebuerger Blannevereenegung proposed information, guidance and awareness on the subject of "Design for all", technical aids, and disability in Luxembourg. Info-Handicap asbl is a federation of more than 57 associations for and for people with disabilities in Luxembourg.

Likewise, the stand of the Integration and Specific Needs Service  of the City of Luxembourg provided information in collaboration with the Bus Service of the City of Luxembourg. The Integration and Specific Needs Service is a point of contact for the people concerned as well as for all associations in the field of disabilities.

Mobilityitszentral, a service of Verkéiersverbond (national coordinator of the European Mobility Week) also had a stand, along with many others.
