Construction works as part of the Luxtram project in Avenue de la Liberté will affect traffic and bus stop locations at Place de Paris from Monday 25 February 2019.
From next Monday and throughout the duration of the works the Paris/Zitha quai 3 bus stop will be transferred one hundred metres to buildings 20-24 Avenue de la Liberté (between Rue du Plebiscite and Rue Dicks). This concerns lines 1 and CN1 (P+R Bouillon), line 18 (Kockelscheuer), lines 9, 10, 11, 13, 14, 28 and 31 ending at the Central Station as well as lines RGTR 110, 111, 740 , 750, 800 and 810.
Similarly, a temporary stop Paris/Zitha quai 4A will be set up about 80 metres towards the Central Station, in front of buildings 42-46 Avenue de la Liberté.
This temporary stop is served by the following bus routes: 2 (Gasperich-Boy Konen), 4 (Leudelange-Gemeng), 7/70 (Verlorenkost), 16 (Hesperange-Cité um Schlass), 21 (Lux-Sud), 22 (Cloche d’Or-Guillaume Kroll), 23 (Gasperich-Bonnevoie-LTB) ainsi que les lignes RGTR 120 (Gare Centrale), 144 (Itzig), 172 (Frisange), 192 (Hassel), 194 (Bettembourg) et 195 (Peppange).
The following lines, heading towards Rue Origer and Place Wallis, will not undergo any changes and will stop as usual at the Paris/Zitha quai 4 stop along Place de Paris: 3/30 and 32 (Howald), 5/6 and CN3 (Bonnevoie) and 15 (Hamm).
From 12:00 on Sunday 24 February until 17:00 on 17 March 2019, the section of the Place de Paris between Avenue de la Liberté and Rue Sainte Zithe (West side) will be closed to all traffic. Access to the district will be modified and a diversion set up to join Rue d'Anvers: drivers coming from Rue du Fort Bourbon will be diverted towards Rue du Fort Elisabeth, Rue Dicks and Rue Sainte Zithe. For this purpose, the direction of traffic will be reversed in Rue Dicks (between Avenue de la Liberté and Rue Sainte Zithe) and in Rue Sainte Zithe (between Rue Dicks and Place de Paris).
Cyclists will be allowed to drive back and forth on Rue Sainte Zithe.
