From 1 March 2020, public transport will be free in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg for residents and non-residents alike.

The free use of public transport in Luxembourg will mean that the validity of annual subscriptions concluded on or after 1 March 2019 will no longer be valid for a full 12-month period. Indeed, no refund will be made for a subscription whose validity (theoretical) exceeds 29 February 2020.

Prices for transport tickets (annual/monthly subscriptions, Seniorekaart, etc.) will not be changed or reduced. Fares for first class passes in CFL trains will also remain unchanged (€660 per annual subscription, €75 per monthly subscription).

CFL, Mobilitéitszentral, the bus service of the Ville de Luxembourg and TICE sales staff will be on hand to best advise customers when buying tickets.
