On Friday 15 September, Luxembourg's Ministry of Sustainable Development and Infrastructure announed that three new bus routes will launch on Monday 18 September 2017.

With a view to strengthening and improving public transport, the new bus routes include the following:

Cross-border route 303: Manom (F) - Cattenom (F) - Mondorf-Les-Bains - Hesperange - Z.I. Contern - Luxembourg-Kirchberg

The aim of this line is to ensure a connection between the French border areas and the main areas of activity of the Ville de Luxembourg, enabling at the same time a rapid link not only to these French border areas but also to Mondorf-les-Bains with Luxembourg-Kirchberg. Very well connected with this line are also the Z.I. Contern and the future Hesperange trade centre (corresponding with line 226 Alzingen - Howald - Gasperich - Leudelange - Bertrange). Its layout borrows a large part of the current and future bus corridors. The line will replace that which was removed some time ago by a private operator.

Route 332: Steinfort - Garnich - Dippach - Reckange-sur-Mess - Mondercange - Belval

This new bus route is intended mainly to serve the University of Luxembourg in Belval (112 students concerned) and the Lycée Bel-Val (28 secondary school students concerned). Thus the communes of Steinfort, Garnich, Dippach, Reckange-sur-Mess and Mondercange will now be directly connected with Belval. This new line also serves the future "pôle d’échange" in Windhof (to be finalised by the end of 2018). The line will replace the one that had to be removed in summer 2016 due to unsatisfactory passenger numbers.

Route 331: Kahler - Steinfort - Mamer High School

This route completes a network of school lines destined for the Mamer Lycée and is introduced because of the high demand in the affected localities (more than 65 secondary school students).
