Luxembourg race driver Dylan Pereira got off to a great start of the 2018 season in the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup, coming in 3rd place.
After an excellent preseason, Dylan Pereira tested his abilities this weekend with the start of the 2018 season of the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup in Barcelona.
In qualifying for the starting grid, the best time was for Michael Ammermüller, defending champion and his teammate at Lechner Racing. Dylan Pereira preferred to adjust his car for the race and started from 8th place on the grid.
Despite a start on the road, the Luxembourger stayed on the right of the track and immediately gained two places. The fifth round was the decisive one with Dylan Pereira showing off all his skills at the wheel of the MOMO Megatron Lechner Racing Porsche GT3 Cup. Attentive, he [assed two of his opponents in one swoop and, a little further, made the most spectacular overtaking of the race, passing French driver Julien Andlauer, to occupy the 3rd place.
On the eleventh lap, Dylan Pereira made the best lap of the race and finished next to the Netherlands’ Jaap van Lagen, who finished second and just over three seconds behind winner Michael Ammermüller.
Dylan Pereira will return to racing in the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup from 24-27 May in Monte Carlo for the Monaco Formula 1 Grand Prix.
