If your vehicle registered in Luxembourg poses a great security threat or no longer corresponds to emission standards, they will systematically be subject to being recalled; letters will be sent out to those affected as of December 2017.

The Luxembourgish institute of normalisation, accreditation, security and quality of products and services (ILNAS), under the order of the Ministry of Economy, is responsible for identifying and contacting those vehicle owners affected. They are working with the CTIE (the Centre for Information Technology of the State) and the various car manufacturers affected.

The technical modifications needed for these vehicles will be covered by the manufacturers and all necessary follow-ups will be dealt with by ILNAS.
