The Natural Heritage Service in Luxembourg City will begin felling trees in the Val de Hamm and Pulvermühl this weekend for safety reasons.

As part of this work, the section of the Val de Hamm between Rue de Pulvermühl and the Rue des Peupliers will be closed  to traffic in both directions from 06:00 on Saturday 23 March until 20:00 on Sunday 24 March 2019. Traffic from the east (A1 motorway) and from the north (A7 motorway) will be diverted to Kirchberg and then to the city centre. Vehice users in the Gare district are advised to take the A1 motorway (bypass).

Throughout the duration of the works, access will be guaranteed to the residents of Val de Hamm and Pulvermühl. There will be signs marking diversions during this period.

In addition, there will be changes to bus lines 7 and 29 in Luxembourg City. Line 7 will run from Verlorenkost-Heedekëppchen to Paris/Zitha, then follow a detour via Boulevard Victor Thorn, Montée de Clausen and Rue de Trèves to Cents-Kierch where it will resume its usual route to Neudorf-Kirchberg. The return journey will be in the opposite direction. The Al Molkerei, Général Patton, Pulvermuhl-Hammerdällchen and Cents-Hamm stops will not be served. Similarly, line 29 will be diverted between the Gare-Rocade and Cents-Hamm stops in both directions via Hamm. The Al Molkerei, Général Patton and Pulvermuhl-Hammerdällchen stops will not be served.

The Pulvermühl district will be served by a minibus shuttle which will run between the Central Station and Pulvermuhl-Hammerdällchen.
